Western Digital released the WD RE SAS drives and SATA 4 GB

Western Digital Corp. announced a range of hard drives SAS and SATA for ordinary consumers and business users. The main feature of this line is to have storage capacity of 4 terabytes.

A series of 3.5-inch WD RE SATA drives consists of models 2TB, 3TB and 4TB. SAS drives are in 1TB, 2TB, 3TB and 4TB. All new products operate at 7,200 r / min.

New drives promise from 1.2 million to 1.4 million hours between failures. A technology used here NoTouch promises that read heads never touch themselves pancakes (they used 5 each of 800 GB).

All hard drives will be available with a 5 year warranty.
