UK Carriers Will Launch BlackBerry 10 Devices in Early 2013

January 30, 2013 is a date that BlackBerry carriers are eagerly waiting to arrive, as Research In Motion is set to make its next-generation BlackBerry 10 operating system official on that day.

The wait won't be over then, since the first BlackBerry 10 will arrive on shelves soon after, although no specific info on when that should happen has been provided as of now.

However, users in the UK can rest assured that these phones will land on shelves in the country soon after the unveiling.

Furthermore, they will be able to purchase such smartphones on the networks of all major wireless carriers in the country, it seems.

Today, EE, O2, Three, and Vodafone have confirmed plans to make the first BlackBerry 10 devices available for their users from day one.

These announcements also confirmed that RIM would have 4G-capable BlackBerry 10 smartphones on shelves next year, and that UK's EE would make them available for its customers.

For the time being, however, no specific info on when these devices will arrive on shelves has been provided, nor on the price tags they might sport when officially launched.

However, it should be noted that UK is only one of the markets where RIM's BlackBerry 10 smartphones will go official.

The company has already scheduled events in major cities around the world for the official launch of the platform and devices running under it, including Toronto, New York City, London, Paris, Johannesburg and Dubai.

According to RIM, full-touch smartphones will bring the new mobile operating system to shelves first, with QWERTY-enabled handsets set to land on the market soon after. Stay tuned for more on this.
