Samsung Galaxy Note III to have a 6.3-inch display and Exynos Octa 5 processor Coming in H2 2013

This may not come as a surprise, but Samsung is planning to launch the successor to the highly lucrative Galaxy Note II later this year. The Korean Times is reporting that the next Galaxy Note will have a humungous 6.3-inch display and will utilize the newly launched Exynos 5 Octa eight-core processor, which is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture.

The report does not talk about any launch plans but we can assume it will be launched in the second half of 2013, which has been the case with all previous versions of the Galaxy Note. The 6.3-inch display is a massive step about the current 5.5-inch panel purely in terms of size. However, back at CES we saw Huawei launch the Ascend Mate, which had a 6.1-inch 1080p display, so we could see the phablets get bigger.

At CES we also got a glimpse of a 4.99-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, which could be used in the Samsung Galaxy S4 IV, so we can also assume that if the Galaxy Note III comes with a 6.3-inch panel, 1080p resolution will a given considering any resolution that is lower at that size may make the display quite crummy.
